5 Great Locations: Engagement Photos-Houston
Finding a location to do engagement photos isn’t hard around The Houston area. Here are a few of my favorite locations.

St. Pauls Methodist
5501 Main St. Houston
St. Pauls Methodist is a great location for your engagement photos.
One of the many reasons I chose this location is the great architecture.
Another is that within walking distance, there is also the Houston Fine Arts Museum, Mecom Fountain.
Any decent photographer can walk around here and get some decent shots if they know what to look for.

Buffalo Bayou
An easy location to get lots of greenery or also have a downtown backdrop.
Definitely a location for an early morning shoot with a sunrise in the background.
There is a short bridge that you can enjoy some shade and also a tucked away location that has an interesting pool for dramatic shots.
An added benefit to Buffalo Bayou being able to take a quick drive and have downtown shots for a completely different vibe for your engagement photos.

Rob Fleming Park
This is a great evening engagement photo location.
While this location is in The Woodlands and technically not Houston, for those who are on the north side and don’t want to go into the city, this is the perfect location for engagement photos.
They have great looking walkways and plenty of trees for background and a nice fountain.
There is also a nice fence line for couples shots and beautiful steps for sitting shots.

Houston Fine Arts Museum
Hands down my favorite location. I can get architecture, sidewalks with arching branches, Mecom Fountain, benches and just about anything you could want for any type of engagement photos.
I would avoid this location on a Saturday afternoon as you will likely be competing with Bridal parties getting their photos done for their wedding from Hotel ZaZa
The only bad thing, people don’t know how to drive around traffic circles at Mecom Fountain.

Your Wedding Venue
The great thing about many of the wedding venues around Houston is that they usually have no issues allowing you to do engagement photos at their location.
A great venue location should have plenty of space and opportunities for some epic shots regardless of where you are for your engagement photos or bridal photos.
